TODAY

Outside my window...
there are leaves falling...not many, but just enough for inspiration and anticipation of all things Autumn.

I am thinking...
About my oldest daughter who is attending Lubbok Christian University in TX.  This is her first year and I miss her very much.  But I think I am more proud of her than I miss her :)

I am thankful for...
My husband.  We are approaching our 20th wedding anniversary and this week he gave me a very meaningful expression of how much he loves me....words that I will cherish until forever has gone by.

From the kitchen...
Not much cooking but cleaning and preparing for new tiles and painting all around.

I am wearing...
A thin hoody as its quite cool in the house, a smile for my blessings, and a bit of a burden that I am still learning to place at the cross.

I am creating...
working on three different paintings at once...and havent' touched any in too long! I need to get busy on them.

I am going...
to the park tomorrow night to collect leaves for a fourth painting (yes even though I have three others waiting on me)

I am reading...
Many things!  Among them, I am about to begin Little Women again (which is where I gained my signature line of "Marmee..."  I am also reading about Ellis Island, one of my high school history books, Captivating (which is a HUGE blessing to me) and just starting Little Men.

I am hoping...
for our home to be completed soon with our additions and for the repair work to slow down a bit.

I am hearing...
fear in my mind over some things that are God's will.

Around the house...
I am noticing how the children are all dealing with their sister leaving for college.  They all exhibit different things, in their own way that let me know that she is on their mind, even though she is absent from our home.

One of my favorite things...
is to paint, look at inspiring images and read inspiring stories.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
to get the floor ready for tiling and repair in the kitchen.
I also want to accomplish some progress on painting #3
